Digital Infrared and Red-Free Imaging

Digital infrared imaging is a variation of fundus photography. Using a longer wavelength of light makes it possible to detect structural details of the retina, which may not be detected under visible light. Digital red-free imaging creates images, which highlight specific structures in the nerve fiber layer by using a blue wavelength of light to illuminate the retina.

Digital infrared and red-free imaging are performed in the office at the retina center vienna.
